Davide Massimiliano Gallasso was born in Milan in 1971.

Son and grandson of lawyers, he never doubted about his passion for law.

After high-school diploma, he attended the Catholic University of Milan, where he graduated with full grades in 1995, following a course of study focused on international law.

Always attracted by international environments, right after graduation he accepted the offer to join, as in-house counsel, the Corporate Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property Department of the STMicroelectronics Group, in Saint-Genis Pouilly (France).

He moved back to Italy at the end of 1997 to pursue his private practice career as a lawyer. Since January 2001 he is admitted as a member of the Bar in Lecco and since April 2014 he is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassazione and the other higher Courts.

In the academic year 2009/2010 he achieved the degree of Master of Laws (LL. M.) in American Law and International Legal Practice, with highest honors and obtaining First Honors Awards in International Commercial Arbitration and International Intellectual Property, by Loyola Law School of Los Angeles (U.S.A.).

The next year he completed the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test in London and in 2012 has been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales as Solicitor of the Senior Courts.

In November 2020 he obtained from the Ministry of Justice of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam the license to practice as a Foreign Lawyer in Vietnam.

He has also carried out studies and followed several courses on arbitration; negotiation in dispute resolution;  assistance of parties in mediation; negotiation techniques; relationships between arbitration and court procedures in transnational litigation.

Benefitting from the experience gained in the role of in-house counsel, since the early days of his career he deals with contracts (domestic and international) and contract law, international trade law, contracts for the exploitation, license and transfer of intellectual property rights, having consolidated a strong specific experience in these fields.

He cooperates with Italian and multinational corporations (mostly, but not exclusively, in the fields of microelectronics, advanced technologies and the engineering industry), providing wide-ranging legal advice to companies - including staff training on legal topics - and to their directors, as well as outsourcing services of legal activities and specific advice on contractual matters.

After the entry intof force of the Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (EVFTA), he provides assistance to Italian and Vietnamese businesses in import-export activities and foreign investments, in cooperation with Vietnamese companies and law firms.

In addition to consultancy, he assists and defends clients in judicial proceedings and in insolvency procedures.

He took part in several arbitration proceedings, either as arbitrator, or as party’s counsel and defense.

He has assisted many clients in mandatory and voluntary mediation proceedings.


Finally, he teaches in Italy and abroad in professional training courses for corporate staff, in the fields of international contracts, legal systems of civil law and common law, negotiation techniques, procurement processes, contract management, contract administration, credit disputes management, and claim management. From 2020, courses are taught also as distance learning.

In 2014 he spoke at the IX World Congress of ICEC – International Council of Cost Engineering, with a lecture on Breach of contract and damages.

In 2016 he acted as member and coordinator of the Work Group on Contract and Dispute Management istituito of AICE – Associazione Italiana di Ingegneria Economica.

He is a member and past president of the Rotary Club Merate Brianza, has been Assistant Governor of Rotary International District 2042 and is currently Governor-Elect of Rotary International District 2042 for year 2022/23.

He is a member of Istituto Nuova Etica Economia e Diritto (I.N.E.E.D.).

He is a member of the British Italian Law Association (B.I.L.A.).
