Sonia Riva was born in Ponte San Pietro (BG) on April 11, 1972.

She took her diploma from the Classical High School «Paolo Sarpi» in Bergamo and graduated in 1996 at the University of Pavia with full grades of 110/110. She completed her trainee lawyer practice at the firm of Roberto Gallasso, from whom she learned both professional expertise and passion for law.

Admitted to the Bar Since 1999, she initially gained experience in the various areas of civil law, developing special skills in the field of extra-contractual liability in general and road accident liability in particular, also establishing profitable collaborations with local insurance agencies.

Expert in the protection of property and real estate rights, she specialized in the practice and law of real estate complexes and has become the trusted lawyer of many condo and building managers in the area.

Voted to the profession with a peculiar attention to social aspects, she enrolled in the register of guardians and of estate administrators of the Court of Lecco and she is currently carrying on several appointments by the Court. She also specialized in the field of inheritance and estate laws.

Passionate with criminal law – the subject that she chose for her graduation dissertation with Professor Carlo Enrico Paliero – she introduced this new field at the Firm, enrolling in the register of public defenders, attending many training courses in criminal law and satisfactorily defending clients accused of various crimes, including tax crimes.

She is a member of the Criminal Law Chamber of Como and Lecco, for which she carried out research activities.

In 2002 she became a Partner of the Firm, constituting, with her former principal Roberto Gallasso and her good friend Davide Gallasso, the association of lawyers named Studio Gallasso & Associati.

Since 2014, she is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassazione and the other higher Courts.

Along with her career progression, she carries on also a family role, being mother of two children who are her greatest joy and the most precious gift of life.

She is married since 2000 to Fabrizio Vedana, a lawyer expert in anti-money laundering and anti-corruption; she can count on the cooperation of her husband and of a primary trust company, for all issues concerning banking, finance and business law.
